Case Study: Sub Soil Injection Machine

Australia has the most extensive sodic soils in the world. 60% of the nations 20 million hectares of cropping soils are considered sodic or magnesic. Soil sodicity in surface and subsoil soils compromises grain yield by as much as 50% due to it’s negative effects on soil dispersion, water infiltration, crop establishment and root growth. Dunstan’s was engaged to develop a world first commercial machine to inject fertilizer matter (chicken litter) into the sub soil structure. Our expertise and knowledge took the machine from concept, through engineering and design to the final product and trials, and it’s now working full time in Victoria.
